What to say about this set?
It’s among the many successful registrations of Miles’s live concerts. Give it a listen and let the man speak for himself.
The synths at the intro of cd1 sound as if they’re heralding The Second Coming…
…and now that his decease lies back more than a decade, one would almost be inclined to consider the Legend
some kind of rock-bopping Messiah indeed.
Miles himself wouldn’t have appreciated that kind of worship. Only seconds after it started,
the above-mentioned intro is cut short with a blast from his trumpet, which says it all for his level- headedness.
Miles was a no-nonsense musician and didn’t beat around the bush. He usually set off without delay, ready to propel the audience into another world.
